“We all want to continue”

The Mexican is calm and feels very happy in the team

Doesn’t pay much attention to what’s out of reach

Sergio Pérez assures that he has not spoken with any Formula 1 team at the moment and is convinced that everyone at Racing Point wants to continue the relationship with the Mexican, despite the rumors that place Sebastian Vettel in the team for 2021.

The four-time world champion has not been renewed by Scuderia Ferrari and is still looking for a seat for next year. One of those that has sounded strongly is that of Aston Martin, current Racing Point, although it does not finish materializing.

In that sense, Sergio Pérez is calm, given that the Racing Point team is happy with him and everyone hopes he will continue. For this reason, he affirms that he has not spoken with any other Formula 1 team.

“No”, said Sergio Pérez, asked if he talks to other teams, according to the British magazine Autosport. “The response I receive within the team is that we all want to continue.”

“I think it’s a matter of time. I feel very happy in the team. I believe in the project, I’ve been here for a while and I can see how the team is going up. We all feel internally that everything is working well.”

“We do not see the reason why we should change anything. I do not see any reason to change. I think we are enjoying a great season on the track and things are working very well in the team. I do not expect any change,” he added.

On the other hand, the Mexican driver points out that he is completely focused on driving and getting the best results for the team, so he does not pay attention to everything that is out of reach.

“All the feedback I get is very positive, so I stick with that, and that’s where my confidence comes from. It’s a situation that is out of my hands, so I don’t even bother at all. I focus on racing, I enjoy it, and whatever happens, it is out of my hands, so I don’t even pay attention to it, “Pérez said to conclude.
